Principal's Message
Here at North Queens Community High School, we forgo traditional grade levels for what we call the "House System." The way that it works is that based on the number of credits and passed Regents exams that a student has, they will be placed into one of four houses. As they earn more credits and pass more Regents exams, they ascend to higher houses, until they reach House 4 (the last house before graduation).
At North Queens Community High School, we provide a smaller learning environment to help students get back on track to graduate high school and plan for a post-secondary education where students can earn a living wage. With our partnership with SCO Family of Services, our advocate and guidance counselors provide academic advisement so that students can stay motivated and focused to maximize their credits. As a growth mindset school, our teachers and staff help students learn the essential academic and social emotional skills so they can be successful in their classes and beyond. For students who are looking for a second opportunity to be their best selves, consider North Queens Community High School!
